Re-Elect Chap Cain Judge of the 253rd District Court
Chap Cain has formally announced his candidacy for re-election as Judge of the 253rd District Court. Cain has honorably served as a judge for the past 19 years.
Judge Cain is 50 years old and has been happily married to his wife, Stacey, for 26 years. Chap and Stacey have four daughters. The oldest, Ashley, is married to a United States Marine who is currently serving in Afghanistan. While he is on combat duty, Ashley and the Cain’s first grandchild, Brayden, are living in the family home in Liberty. The Cain’s second daughter, Whitney, is attending Blinn Junior College and wants to become a nurse. Shelby is a Liberty High School senior, in the top 10% of her class, and a cheerleader. The Cain’s youngest daughter, Courtney, is an 8th grade cheerleader and an “A” student. Judge Cain’s wife, Stacey, taught 8th grade math for many years, earned her Master’s degree, and is the principal at San Jacinto Elementary School in Liberty.
Judge Cain is a 4th generation Liberty and Chambers county lawyer. He has a family history of public service. Cain’s grandfather and great-grandfather held elected positions including Judge, District Attorney, and County Attorney.
Chap Cain graduated from Liberty High School, attended Baylor University, and graduated from Baylor Law School. He was licensed to practice law in 1984 and had a successful trial practice of civil and criminal cases. He tried numerous civil and criminal jury trials. This successful trial experience prepared him for a future judicial position.
Judge Cain ran for the County Court at Law 20 years ago and won. Many people consider the County Court at Law to be a training ground for future District judges. The County Court at Law handled less serious criminal cases, family law matters, and civil cases up to $100,000. After 8 years and presiding over thousands of cases, Judge Cain ran for the 253rd District Court and was elected.
For over 11 years, Chap Cain has served as the Judge of the 253rd District Court. The court handles the most serious civil and criminal matters including capital murder, aggravated sexual assault of a child, complex business litigation, serious injury cases, divorce, and child custody. The 253rd District Court is not a traffic court that can be handled by a novice. The people need a hard-working judge with experience, dedication, and professional discipline.
In the last 19 years, Judge Chap Cain has decided over 31,694 cases. He did this through hard work and dedication to his profession and the people of Liberty and Chambers Counties.
Judge Chap Cain promises this same faithful service if given that opportunity by the voters. Your vote and assistance to re-elect Chap Cain 253rd District Court Judge will be appreciated.
