HIGHT TALKS ABOUT WHAT HE DESERVES

Here he goes! Apparently Rusty Hight’s response to factually documented cases in which he has not protected this community from convicted sexual predators, serial DWI offenders, and other criminals is to throw money at the local media to re-create his image. Today his rebuttal to some of the most horrendous examples of liberal “justice” was to pay someone to exclaim to the world that he is “remarkable” and he “has earned” and “deserves” your support.

Why Hight expects voters to support his re-election is difficult to say. He has neither apologized nor explained the cases in which he clearly favored convicted criminals in ways that are nearly unheard of – “judicial amnesty” is the closest terms we can think of to describing it accurately. When his ad brags about how many cases he has run through his courtroom, those informed voters who are familiar with Hight’s work must all get sick to their stomachs at the possibilities of the staggering number of serious criminal cases Hight has infected with his very liberal sentences (several years of probation on Tuesday) and then one of his infamous “Wednesday deals” (erasing the whole record the next day). That truly is “REMARKABLE”! - as his ad says.

When Hight talks about “DESERVING” our vote by stating that he is a hard working judge, we should all cringe. Records indicate that the speculation that Rusty Hight would continue to collect his nearly $500 a day salary while taking off Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday has been proven true. Please look at the document entitled “The State of Texas, Second Administration Judicial Region Order of Assignment By The Presiding Judge”. Just how hard working IS Judge Hight? If you think working two days a week is hard working, Hight just may be your pick for Judge. But if you have had enough of Democrats blowing taxpayer money and if it aggravates you to know Hight is causing us to pay visiting Judge Don Burgess nearly $400 a day while Hight is out doing whatever it is that Hight does when he's not working at the job that he was hired to do (in addition to Hight's $500 for the same day), then you may have an entirely different idea of what Judge Hight “deserves”.

We wonder if Judge Burgess should file his $400 a day for working in place of Rusty as a campaign donation? Hight has obviously turned over the job we hired him to do so he can campaign all day almost everyday. Potholders with “Elect Hight” here we come! Beware when you go into some public places...you could be forced into trading your valuable time for this Judge’s invaluable potholder…….

This November 2nd we will see if Liberty County wants to keep this liberal judge who wastes money and lets serious criminals go scott-free, or if, perhaps, they prefer their judges to protect the community and actually punish those who would harm us and our children. One judge has several years of experience and a powerful political family that wants to dominate the judgeships in our courthouse. But the experience he has appears to be sentencing people more like we would expect from judges in Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco than Liberty County. We “deserve” better. Send Hight home – the facts bear out that he has not just “earned” it, but that he needs the change in environments.

LIBERTY COUNTY VOTERS ON GUARD ON NOVEMBER 2ND

President Obama’s mind bending political advisers are already advising against it, but it is too late. The slogan: “We have changed the guard so now it is time to guard the change”, had already hit America’s more than cooperative left leaning media. Like a lap dog waiting to promote anything Obama wants, drooling with enthusiasm, channel after channel we had opportunity to hear it.

Then like a Master yanking the chain of a pit bull that has gone as far as he wants – are we now seeing the Obama spinmeisters jerking that message back in? Did they see the possible objections many independent American voters might have to the implications of their slick little double use of the word guard?

Liberty County voters have had a front row seat to witness years of Democratic scandals begin to unwind despite a complicit local media and inexplicable inaction by District Attorney Mike Little. Now, before our very eyes for all of us to hear, we have “the link” Liberty Dispatch and many voters in this county have been talking about. “Guard the change”!  A vote for a Democrat strengthens the hand of the Democratic Party and even if it is not a vote for the extravagant spending Barack Obama or one of his henchmen in Congress, it guards or protects their party for resurgence in 2012.

No scandal there of course! But Democrats wanted to pull the chain on that motto so they can allow local candidates to separate themselves with their own sales pitches and draw more voters into the big web they need to get support for Obama and his policies and the election of 2012. When this election is over all of the winners will support their party and their nominees for President etc. Democrats will have conventions far from Liberty County and locals will be enthusiastic and support Obama.

Those who keep up with courthouse may find the word “guard” in reference to those in power in Washington unusually ironic this year. After almost two decades of scandals being alleged here in Liberty County, the Liberty County primaries this year went from a history of voters registering nearly a three to one in the Democratic Party to this year for the first time in any living person’s memory of having an overwhelming percentage of Republican primary voters (about two to one Republican versus Democrat).

To borrow from the Obama reference about 2010, perhaps Liberty County is ready to “change the guard’ this year so the current Democrats will no longer be able to “guard from change”.

DEMOCRATS HERE MIRROR WASHINGTON DEMOCRATS

Today I once again witnessed pre-political rhetoric spinning logic and truth to try and convince us all to vote for those local candidates who have aligned themselves with President Obama. It is amazing how ignorant political spinmeisters think we all are.

For example the following quote on an extreme left wing local blog freely embraces the figure $30 million dollars when referring to the Liberty County budget:

“The Liberty County Judge is the CEO of the county. A CEO takes care of the 30 million dollar budget plus Fema money. He is only in court for Probate of wills and Juvenile minor crimes. Who do you want to vote for, to care YOUR 30 million dollars? Someone with extensive business background, college degree, Christian values and ethics. Then you're ONLY CHOICE IS KEN MORRISON FOR LIBERTY COUNTY JUDGE.”

So are we suppose to vote for the Democrat the comment brags about and assume he will be different from the tax and spend President that is the head of his party? How believable is that when he just accepts the most ridiculous radical budget in Liberty County history as a given. Not only does the person campaigning for Morrison make no mention of revisiting the huge $27 million dollar budget the Democratic dominated Commissioner’s Court set, but this fan adds another $3 million to round it out at 30. Does this Morrison supporter know local taxpayers never voted to double the budget and they are not likely to be cavalier about the extra $3 million lumped in this promo.
