The horror about business as usual includes continual allegations of selective prosecutions, malicious prosecution, official misconduct, false imprisonment and official oppression to name just a few laws broken by most of the Liberty County DA's office including but not limited to- Mike Little, Joe Warren, Dan Bradley, Logan Pickett, and Ragis Fontenot. Pickett teaming up with Patterson to try and get black Democrats to switch over and vote for both of them is reprehensible. A dirty bargain with Democratic commissioner Todd Fontenot (kin to Pickett co-worker Raegis Fontnot) and Connie Paintsil to get Ames influencing the Republican primary and Mike little's ally, commssioner Melvin Hunt,to rally box 20 in Cleveland is slimeball politics. It will only work if people stay at home and the least qualified are allowed to win.

ReplyDeleteAt least when Mike Little and Karen McNair filled their current positions taxpayers had people with evidence of academic exceptionalism in their background. Anyone that went to school with Logan Pickett is probably shocked he finished law school a few years ago.

Highly possible, it seems doesn't it?
I wonder if Mr. Pickett is at all aware that he is quite possibly being " played " by the very people he trusts in the district attorney's office? Think about it: Not one of them , especially Little, has anything to lose in regard to respect in this community. However, Mr. Pickett does and he is already in the process of losing a great deal. For example: his credibility, his integrity, and his reputation just to name a few. For what? Specifically, so that the people who are in control of the district attorney's office now can basically remain in control ( behind the scene) by dictating Pickett's every move in the courtroom. All of this is really and truly extremely dangerous to the welfare of the citizens of Liberty County. I pray that God will protect each of us from this type of control, and the candiate that not only believes in Christianity and realizes the imporatance of Christian values, but also lives and demonstrates such in his or her everyday life, will be the candidate the voters choose to hold this important office. Thought for Mr. Pickett: " For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" ( Mark 8:36, American King James Version).
It is my opinion that Mr. Pickett is being taken advantage of here, but sadly his ego won't allow him to accept it nor admit it.
